Tempo: The tempo varies. During the first scene, it goes a little slow to provide the audience with some backstory of what’s happening. The tempo then picks up with Ariel assaulting Katurian building tension. The short stories that Katurian describes start off slow and then right when it comes to the end it speeds up. The whole play has this sort of slow to fast tempo. With Michal and Katurian, the dialogue between them is slow and amusing. It keeps the audience entertained. The end of the scene is shocking when Katurian murders Michal. The climax seems to happen at the end of a story or scene. Then it cuts off.
· The lighting would be soft at the beginning of each story and scene. And when the climax approaches the intensity of light increases.
· With sound, I want it to be innocent sounding in the short stories. I want the action of the stories to surprise the audience. I want that contrast between innocent sounding music to violent actions. During the interrogation scenes, I want to have ominous sounds. Deep low bass line that would increase in volume when violence was occurring.
